Job Description:

We are hiring a Project Manager for a full time, direct hire position with a general contractor! The right candidate would be responsible for both Project Management and Estimation over the course of each project. He/she would read plans, specs, complete take-offs, use estimating software, negotiate, and complete full bid estimates. This position also involves interfacing with project managers, superintendents, and clients in order to achieve precise and accurate estimates. We are looking for a goal-oriented individual who takes initiative, produces results, and is a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain business relationships with subcontractors, clients/owners, general contractors, and crews
• Work in conjunction with a project coordinator to manage multiple projects from cradle to grave
• Review contracts for accuracy of scope (performing take-offs to confirm estimated budget)
• Create submittals, RFI’s, project schedules, and all correspondence with customers
• Coordinate material and equipment needs with superintendents, warehouse, and project coordinators
• Track costs, budgets, and oversee WIP
• Confidently quote and negotiate contract change orders
• Responsible for claims management and documentation

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of project management (commercial office TI background a plus) experience in the construction industry
• Record of successfully managing projects between $20K and $5M in business
• Ability to work with a team to complete projects within deadlines/budgets
• Ability to manage and train project coordinator
• Experience in Foundation, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor’s degree (not required)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Quick learner
